All Done

I've been waiting for the kitchen to be clean before I post the finished pictures.  But, we are all so excited to have our kitchen back, it's never clean.  I would clean it up, go get the camera, and when I got back, someone was cooking something.  I finally got it straightened up for pictures.  Thank goodness, because my kitchen will never be this clean again.

Day Twentynine

All the finishing touches were add today.
34 cubic feet of coolness
even the dog is impressed, or maybe just wondering where the heck all the food is...
LOOK!! We have ice!
Here is another view of the plastic Mr. Wonderful refuses to pull off.
2 cabinets with roll out shelves
A drawer under the ovens (I know! sorry Lisa)
And a nice big hole in the counter for the cook top
Yep, the cook top is the only thing we are waiting for now.  Mr. Contractor said I can start moving in my dishes, but I am not suppose to use the kitchen until all the final inspections are complete.  Looks like I have some work to do.  I also have to acid wash the floor. (Wasn't I suppose to do that today?)  Well, maybe tomorrow...

Day Twentyeight

Well, here it is!!  It's hard to believe we are at the end.  There are just a few things here and there to be finished, but for the most part, it's done.  Ready for the pictures?
bench seat for the table
pull out trash can that Roxie was exploring
That is pretty much it!!  There is still another week of little things to do, but the big things are in place.

Day Twentysix and Twentyseven

The weekend was quite.  No one was in to work.

I got to see an old friend from high school, my sister and niece on my way home from Midland.  I must have been having to much fun, because I got sick.  My head would feel better if it would just explode!!

Mr. Wonderful and I went looking for cook tops on Sunday.  We were going to reuse the one we had, but during the demo or re-installation,  it got cracked.  We went all over town looking, but ended up ordering one on line last night.  It won't be here for another 5-10 days.

Today, they are installing the cabinet doors, bench seat and shelf above.  I can't wait to see it all together!!

Day Twentyfive

Sorry for the late post.  I left town to drive my mom back from Carlsbad.  Here's what they did Friday...
The microwave, with the outlet to plug it in.
The dishwasher, facet and new garbage disposal
My frig and freezer with ice maker.. There is still more to add on to the top.
My double oven.

All the plumbing and electrical are done.  The lighting is finished, except for the ceiling fan that is going to hit the cabinet door when it opens.  We have to go buy a smaller fan.  Fans in a kitchen are not the norm, but my kitchen tends to get really warm with all the baking I do, so I find them a necessity.

Day Twentyfour

The back splash was installed today.  It's kind of hard to see.  It is white subway tile.

They also came in to fix the spot where the electrician put the light switch in the wrong place.  Now Mr. Wonderful has some more painting to do.

For the question from yesterday, here is a side by side picture...

Any Idea what's missing, yet?
